Square Mesh

This general-purpose mesh is commonly used for reinforcing in flat concrete such as foot paths, slabs, driveways, paving and walls.

Square mesh is manufactured from L grade ribbed wires (D500L) welded together to form squares across the mesh as 0.200 x 0.200m with the SL81 the only exception at 0.100 x 0.100m. Sheets weigh from 33 – 105 kg each.  Note that there is as variance in sheet sizes of 5.8m or 6.0m x 2.4m, dependent of the supplier used.

Compliant with AS/NZS 4671 and ACRS approved and is available in a variety of gauge diameters.
Also available, as a limited supply, in 4.0 x 2.0m in the smaller gauge wire SL62 & SL72, this is not as readily available as the larger 5.8 / 6.0 x 2.4m sheets but a handy alternative.

Rectangle Mesh

Rectangular reinforcing mesh is used for reinforcing thin concrete types such as floor slabs and walls which require a higher tensile stability to maximise strength and reduce cracking such as pavements, suspended floors, precast panels and flooring. As with the square mesh this mesh is manufactured from L grade ribbed wires (D500L) welded together with 0.100 x 0.200m spacing to form rectangular shapes. Sheets weigh between 68 – 157 kg each.

Compliant with AS/NZS 4671 and ACRS approved this mesh is available in a variety of gauge diameters and sheet size of 5.8 / 6.0 x 2.4m only. As with the square mesh the sheets size vary depending on supplier used.

Trench Mesh

Trench mesh is made specifically for use in residential strip footing trenches. Manufactured from L grade ribbed wires (D500L), using a variety of wires up to 16mm diameter.

Sheets are 6m in length, with widths ranging from 0.200m (3 bar) to 0.600m (5 bar). Sheets weighs between 7 – 41 kg.
